Andy comes to FS Vector after 12 years serving as Senior Vice President of the Smith-Free Group, a bipartisan government relations firm, in Washington, D.C. At Smith-Free, Andy focused on financial services issues and for the last five years led the financial services practice at the firm.
Preceding his time at Smith-Free, Andy was the lead democrat at the Financial Services Roundtable (now the Bank Policy Institute) where he worked on a range of issues before Congress and the Administration. At FSR, Andy played a significant role in the passage of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (and succeeding reauthorizations), the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, and the America Invents Act.
Andy’s government service included work for the United States Trade Representative where he served as Deputy Assistant USTR for Congressional Affairs as well as work for two United States Congressmen: the Honorable William D. Ford (D-MI) and the Honorable Bart Stupak (D-MI).
Andy is a graduate of Ithaca College and lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife Meredith. Their son Jack is a student at James Madison University.
