Through Headmaster, we are committed to providing top-tier learning and development solutions that cater to fintechs’ unique needs. 

We are seeking a Product Manager for Headmaster, our first dedicated Headmaster hire. In this role, you will lead the ongoing development of our training platform, prospective and existing client engagement, and day-to-day Headmaster operations. 

About the Role

As the Product Manager for Headmaster, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the current platform, future product development, and content creation. You will serve as both an internal and external advocate for Headmaster, and will assist in onboarding strategy.

The Product Manager for Headmaster is responsible for providing demos to prospective clients, onboarding new clients into the Headmaster platform, managing existing client needs, and identifying areas of improvement. As the first role of its kind, you will have the opportunity to propose and create new features that will directly impact user experience.

Primary Responsibilities 

There are four main areas of focus for the Headmaster Product Manager. Each area is critical to the platform’s success and scalability and will involve close collaboration with FS Vector advisory, operations, and marketing teams:

  • Learning Content Management
    • Lead the development and delivery of new and updated training content by collaborating with FS Vector advisors. 
    • Manage the design, format, and copy editing of learning content. 
    • Develop new audio/video capabilities and other features to enhance the training experience, selecting and working with vendors as applicable. 
  • Technical Oversight
    • Define business and functional requirements for enhancement of the platform, liaising with operations and technical engineers as applicable.
    • Oversee technical support for clients. 
    • Drive other automation and app capabilities within Headmaster.
  • Sales and Marketing
    • Assist in the definition and execution of the Headmaster go-to-market strategy, working closely with FS Vector advisors.
    • Lead the prospective client sales lifecycle from initial intake through to contracting.
    • Develop and deliver demos to prospective clients.
    • Collaborate with FS Vector’s marketing team to support sales efforts. 
  • Client Management
    • Lead the client management lifecycle from contracting and client onboarding through client management for the life of the relationship.
    • Manage client relationships by delivering advice through clear oral and written communication.
    • Generate management information reports for training completion and program reporting.
    • Work with clients to support integration of Headmaster data for on/offboarding, reporting, as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a Product Management role, ideally in the ed-tech or corporate training industry.
  • Experience with onboarding, offboarding, and running product demos.
  • Knowledge of financial services laws and regulations, particularly those related to compliance (e.g., financial crime, consumer protection, cybersecurity, business continuity).
  • Experience collaborating with marketing functions and assisting in developing go-to-market collateral.
  • Ability to manage client relationships by delivering advice through clear oral and written communication.
  • Proven ability to track and influence key product metrics, such as Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR).
  • Understanding of user experience design principles.
  • Experience using quantitative analysis and qualitative research to inform product decisions.
  • Experience working with learning management systems is a plus.
