The Alabama Securities Commission has announced the adoption of the requirement to submit the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) Money Services Businesses Call Report starting with the Q2 2025 reporting period (April 1- June 30, 2025). 

Beginning with the second quarter of 2025, all licensed money transmitters in Alabama will be required to file the NMLS MSB Call Report, including the Alabama state specific transactions section. Please note this means that data for the full Q2 2025 period will need to be submitted in the report.  The first submission under this new requirement is due by August 14, 2025. 

Money transmitters operating in Alabama are encouraged to begin preparing now to ensure a smooth transition and timely submission of the Alabama state specific sections. More information and guidance on completing the MSB Call Report can be found on the NMLS Resource Center.
