Jackson has spent the better part of the past 15 years focused on the intersection of public policy and financial innovation, including positions with trade associations, economic think tanks, and startups.

Most recently, Jackson was a Policy Director at The Digital Chamber, where he spent a considerable amount of time engaging with the association’s members to understand their policy needs, before successfully developing and executing on strategies designed to inform and influence digital asset policy debates on Capitol Hill. In this role, Jackson led the association’s stablecoin policy working group, drafting comment letters and correspondence to congressional offices, while facilitating direct member engagement with congressional leaders and their staff. Prior to joining The Digital Chamber, Jackson was director of global policy and government affairs at Securrency, a leading developer of institutional-grade, digital asset infrastructure, prior to the firm being acquired by the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation. Jackson was responsible for monitoring and crafting effective engagement strategies pertaining to global policy and regulatory developments regarding, in particular, the tokenization of traditional financial assets and the growing convergence between TradFi and DeFi.

Prior to joining the private sector, Jackson worked at the Milken Institute Center for Financial Markets where he helped jumpstart the Institute’s FinTech program in 2014, before leading the program beginning in 2016. Jackson engaged with domestic and international policymakers and industry stakeholders on a wide variety of policy issues coming to the forefront as a result of the unique nature and characteristics of emerging technologies.

Prior to the Milken Institute, Jackson supported the government affairs team at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association by providing coverage of post-Dodd-Frank Wall Street reforms and capital formation policy, including the JOBS Act.

He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Richmond and an M.P.P. from American University. Jackson is an avid fan of the Grateful Dead and enjoys taking his kids kicking and screaming to Civil War battlefield sites.
