Position Overview
We are seeking a Talent Specialist to join our Advisory Team. The primary focus of this role is to support our clients with their staffing and hiring initiatives, particularly in the compliance and legal domains. This includes identifying, engaging, and placing talent across a wide range of roles – from C-suite compliance and legal leaders (e.g., Chief Compliance Officers, General Counsel, Product Counsel) to operational hourly analysts.
This is a client-facing role, and the successful candidate will be a strategic partner to clients seeking full-time, interim, and fractional talent solutions.
Internal staffing responsibilities are considered secondary to external-facing work. In addition to client recruiting support, the Talent Specialist may also be called upon to assist in drafting job descriptions and other hiring tasks at the firm as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the point of contact for all client-facing recruiting efforts, providing staffing support across legal and compliance functions.
- Develop and execute a tailored staffing strategy to meet client needs, including senior executive, mid-level, and operational hiring.
- Maintain and proactively grow a strong, diverse pipeline of qualified candidates for current and anticipated client needs, ensuring readiness for rapid placement across compliance and legal roles.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of client goals, role requirements, and industry trends to advise on hiring best practices.
- Act as the external face of FS Vector’s talent services, delivering excellent experiences for both clients and candidates.
- Grow and manage a network of high-quality compliance and legal professionals within the financial services industry.
- Draft job descriptions and other recruitment materials for clients upon request.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Advisory and Advocacy teams to align staffing efforts with broader client engagements.
- Establish efficient recruiting systems and tools to ensure quality, scalability, and compliance in all hiring practices.
- Identify and recruit for internal roles at FS Vector as needed.
Qualifications
- 6 – 8 years of recruiting experience, preferably in financial services, legal, or compliance sectors.
- Strong experience sourcing and placing talent at all levels, especially senior and executive leadership in compliance and legal roles.
- Demonstrated success in client-facing recruiting or talent advisory environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Suite, Slack, and Zoom.
- Deep understanding of the fintech, banking, or regulatory compliance industries is a plus.
- Experience in agency or client services settings is a plus.
